MOUNTAIN
Brook Gosch-5’11”, 210lbs. Tight End and Defensive End. A two year
starter and four year member of the Eagles gridiron team. A 2009 1st
Team All County, 2nd Team All Berks. Led his team with 70 tackles.
Brook participated in wrestling for four years and is a member of
Student Council. He is a Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership
representative and a member of St. John’s Church. He is in the top
20% of his class and has accepted a full academic and athletic
scholarship from the United States Air Force Academy. An unselfish,
dedicated student athlete.

Peter A.
Stanakis-6’3”, 185lbs. Wide Receiver and Cornerback. The Golden
Bears team captain who was a four year member of the team and two
year starter. A 2nd Team All County selection. A National
Honor Society member. He is ranked in the top 20% of his class. He
is considering Delaware Valley College, Bloomsburg University, and
Wilkes University among his future college options. A goal oriented
student athlete whose work ethic, commitment, and attitude will
contribute to continued success.

Joseph M.
Kloap-5’10”, 165lbs. Wide Receiver and Defensive Back. A three year
member of the team and two year starter for the Colts. 2009 1st
Team All Area and 1st Team Schuylkill League selections.
A 2nd Team Standard Speaker selection and an Old Spice
MVP Award recipient. A four year member of the Colt’s baseball team.
Joseph is ranked in the top 10% of his class and is considered to be
a very conscientious, industrious, creative, and responsible young
man. He is considering Albright College, Wilkes University, and
Lebanon Valley College among his post secondary options. His work
ethic and discipline are characteristic of what student athletes are
all about.

Adrian J.
Albertini-5’7”, 165lbs, Safety and Tailback. A three year member of
the team and a two year starter for the Battlin’ Miners. Named to
the 2009 Schuylkill County Coaches All Star Team at Safety and
received the Sportsmanship Award from the Anthracite Football
League. Participated in basketball and track and is a member of the
Prom, SADD, Peer Ed, and the Principal’s Advisory Board. He is a
Minersville Food Pantry and youth basketball volunteer. Adrian is
ranked 6th in his class and is considering King’s College
among others to continue his education. A remarkably gifted young
man who has been a high performer in the classroom and on the field.

Klazas-5’10”, 185lbs. Quarterback, Wide Receiver, Running Back, and
Linebacker. A three year starter and four year member of the Green
Wave football team who also participated in basketball and track. A
2009 1st Team All American, 1st Team All
County, and Honorable Mention All Area selections. He is
ranked in the top 20% of his class and is considering Penn State
University, Ursinus College, and Lebanon Valley College as
possibilities. A tough and versatile athlete with a strong
commitment to academics and the community.

Zachary E.
Hogan-5’8”, 145lbs. Tailback, Wide Receiver, and Cornerback. A four
year member and two year starter for the Spartans. A playmaker on
both sides of the ball, he was a WNEP-16 Dream Team, Reading Eagle
All Anthracite, and 2nd Team All State selections.
A 1st Team Schuylkill County Coaches and PA Football News
All-State selection. He was named to the Standard Speaker,
Republican and Herald, and News Item All Area Teams among many other
honors. He played basketball and baseball and is a member of Student
Council, the National Honor Society, DARE, and SKIP. Ranked in the
top 10% of his class and is considering Lebanon Valley and
Misericordia as college possibilities.

Andrew E.
Tucker-5’10”, 225lbs. Offensive and Defensive Tackle. A four year
team member and three year starter for the Panthers. A team captain,
a 2008 and 2009 Pennsylvania Football News All Academic Gold Team
and a 2nd Team All County selection. Participated in
track and field for three years. Andrew is ranked in the top 10% of
his class and was offered a Vikroy Scholarship from Lebanon Valley
College. A Toys for Tots, Lansford Little League and Amvets flag
program volunteer. He is a tireless worker with a bright future.

Cale W.
Hoover-5’10”, 180lbs. Fullback and Linebacker. A four year member
and three year starter for the Cardinals. Team MVP, 1st
Team All Conference, and 1st Team All County. A hard
hitting tackler and an excellent blocker. He participated in
basketball and wrestling for three years and is an active member of
a youth church group. Cale is ranked in the top 15% of his class and
is considering enrollment at Delaware Valley College. A student
athlete with academic, leadership, and community service as driving
forces behind his achievements.

Leymeister-6’1”, 217lbs. Fullback and Linebacker. A four year member
and three year starter for the Crimson Tide. A two way starter, team
captain and an All County selection in 2009 and 2009. He played
basketball and baseball for four years. Eric is Senior Class
President and a member of the German and Leo Clubs. He is ranked in
the top 20% of his class and has been accepted for admission at
Kings College, Lebanon Valley, and Susquehanna. A conscientious and
highly regarded student athlete.

Fink-5’8”, 212lbs. Running Back and Linebacker. A four year member
and two year starter for the Hurricanes. A 2008 1st Team
Schuylkill Coaches, All County, and All Anthracite selection. A
2009 1st Team Schuylkill County Coaches and All
Anthracite selections and 2nd Team All County pick. A
team captain who also participated in baseball and basketball. A
Haven Midget Football, Hurricane Youth Camp, SKIP, MADD, and Big
Brothers/Sisters volunteer. Evan is ranked in the top 1/3 of his
class and will be attending Dickinson College to play football and
continue his education.

1st Team All Anthracite, and 1st Team
Schuylkill County Coaches selections. Class President and
member of Drama Club, Youth Leadership Conference, Relay for Life,
and March Against Racism volunteer. He participated in basketball
and track. Daniel is ranked 3rd in his class and has been
offered Presidential Scholarships from Wilkes University and
Lycoming College and Dean’s Scholarship from Susquehanna. An athlete
who demonstrates outstanding character traits and always strives to
do his best athletically and academically.

three year starter and team captain for the Blue Raiders. A 1st
Team Times News, 2nd Team All Anthracite, and 2nd
Team Schuylkill County Coaches selections. A key member of
the 2008 Eastern Conference Runner-up and 2009 District Qualifying
Raider teams. Participated in basketball for four years. He is an
Eagle Scout. Michael is ranked in the top half of his class and has
been accepted at Kings College and Temple University, with more
options likely to follow.

McGinley-6’5”, 190lbs. Quarterback. A four year member of the team
and two year starter for the Bulldogs. A 1st Team Twin
Valley, 1st Team All Anthracite, 1st Team
Pottsville Republican, 1st Team PA Football News, 1st
Team Eastern Conference, and 1ST Team Schuylkill County
Coaches selections. He was named to the 2nd Team
PA Sports Writers All State Team and was named Class A Player of the
Year by PA Football News. He played basketball and baseball. He is
a church volunteer and National Honor Society member. Matthew is
ranked in the top 20% of his class. Kutztown, Shippensburg, Temple,
and Moravian are among his college interests. He is known as the
Bulldog “field general” and had great command of the Tri Valley
offense.

Dylan T.
Smith-6’0”, 285lbs. Offensive and Defensive Tackle. A four year
member of the Viking squad. A leader on and off the field and the
Mr. Viking Football Award recipient. He participated in wrestling,
jazz band, and drama club and was a State SADD representative. He
was a Student Council representative, and a volunteer at his church
and Liberty Hose. Dylan is ranked in the top 10% of his class. He
has been accepted at Lebanon Valley College and qualifies for a
Vickroy Scholarship. A true team leader with a definitive commitment
to community service.
